   Kroger supplier Nebraska Beef Ltd. has been identified as a source of ground beef products linked to an E. coli out break. Beef Recalls started when several people in Ohio and Michigan became ill with E.Coli from Kroger Beef. The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said more than a half-million pounds of ground beef from the Omaha based meat processor could be contaminated with the potentially deadly toxin.

  The food-safety inspectors ordered a Beef Recall on Beef bought at Kroger. Kroger is the parent company of the other two grocery chains. BEEF RECALL & BEEF ALERT! KROGER BEEF could be. E. COLI Contaminated beef had been distributed to Kroger's stores in 20 states & beef recalls for Pacific Northwest 2008. Anyone whom bought ground beef from Kroger, QFC & Fred Meyer with a sell by date between May 21 and July 5 should not eat the ground beef or products made from the Kroger Beef Recalled!!!

    Kroger Recalls include (Private Selection Natural) label with sell by dates of July 11 through July 21. The beef recall does not yet include ground beef sold in sealed tubes in & frozen ground beef patties sold in the frozen food section of Kroger Stores. I however would say be careful of all meats and watch for more food recalls and meat recalls as usual in the US.

   Although QFC does not carry Nebraska Beef products, some products may have come in contact with ground beef included in the beef recalls since QFC's meat was processed in a facility that also handled the recalled product. Nebraska Beef products Recalled from Kroger & Other Stores!

At this point, the government can't be sure that Kroger was the only chain that received the recalled meat.

Symptoms of E. Coli include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting and fever. Most people recover within a week. Health officials have been trying to remind people to thoroughly cook hamburger and all meats. They say for beef or hamburgers you should use a digital thermometer to make sure meat has been heated to at least 160 degrees.
