Pet Food Recall from Diamond Pet Food Manufactured in South Carolina from Sept. to Nov. of 2005 due to a naturally occurring toxic chemical called Aflatoxin found in cat food and dog food. This toxic chemical caused a nation wide alert for Diamond Pet Foods contaminated foods were recalled due to liver damage in Animals. At least 75 dogs were effected nation wide when the recalled foods were told to also be exported to at least 29 other countries within the European Union. Yes spooky that the pet food recall then had effected pets in other countries on the recall of Diamond Pet Food. Eating the contaminated pet foods was deadly for cats and dogs both. Nation Wide Alert and even said by the FDA to have been exported to at least 29 other countries within the European Union. In 1995 Nature's Recipe also had a scare of similar sorts. Sometimes even natural pet foods can end up with problems. It is important to research what is in pet foods and it is sad that the FDA does not do this as they should.
Liver damage caused by a naturally occurring toxic chemical that comes from fungus on corn and grains in foods. That is spooky if you ask me. Another of many pet alerts we felt worth a mention. Liver damage signs in a pet can be diarrhea , tiredness, not eating, even jaundice or yellow in the whites of their eyes, gums or belly. Either way if your pet seems sick GET THEM TO A VET ASAP PLEASE!
They said at one point that 100 dogs had died from this. This is spooky. Also listings for some cat food recalls were found. Below are a few products involved in the recall.

Those are just a few of them. Again be careful what you feed your pets. Sometimes we think it is safe and have no control over what they are finding in foods. Also remember back when Nature's Recipe pet food was contaminated with mycotoxins. That was found in rice, corn, wheat, oats, some grains ect. It was in 1995 and a major pet food recall and scare to all pet owners. In 1997 there was also another pet food recall due to toxins in pet foods ect. This is too often. Seems that Nature's Recipe was bought out after their recall of pet foods. Dole bought them out. Hey remember check the alerts on recalls or E Coli from the past speaking of Dole. It is a spooky world we live in with so many dangers for our pets and us as well.
